Simple steps to make the most of your meditative art experience

Step 1: Create Your Space
Creating a comfortable and cozy space for yourself before you start painting is crucial because it helps you relax, focus and be in the right mindset to unleash your creativity. Find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted, grab a blanket to keep you warm and cozy, a cup of tea to soothe your nerves, and light a candle to set the mood. Doing these simple things will help you create the right environment for painting, and ultimately, help you get into your flow.

Step 2: Choose Your Meditation
To help you get the most out of your art experience, I've curated three different meditations that are designed to get you into the right mindset, each with a specific goal in mind. Each meditation is only 3-5 minutes long. These brief yet powerful meditations are designed to calm an overactive mind and connect you with your heart, setting the tone for a more mindful and fulfilling art experience.

Additionally, I've also included beautiful nature soundscapes to listen to while painting, as they are known for evoking a sense of peace and calmness. So, take some time to listen to these meditations and soundscapes before starting your art process and see how it enhances your creativity.

Step 3: Begin Your Creative Journey
Let the creativity begin. There are no rules or wrong ways to do this, so take your time and enjoy the process. You can finish your masterpiece all at once or come back to it later. Once you've painted all the numbered sections, feel free to add your own personal touches. Remember, meditative art is all about the journey, not the destination. Enjoy the experience of creating something new and unique.

Intention Setting Guided Meditations
I encourage you to treat your art making process as a sacred moment. Each activity, when begun with a short guided meditation and intention, helps you to get into the right headspace and connect with your body, heart and emotions. After the meditation you can enter into artmaking with ease. These art activities aim to help you connect with your emotions and tune inward as a form of self care.

Choose from one of the below meditations to get started.

Enhance the Experiene with Soothing Nature Sounds
I’ve included these meditative nature sounds for you to listen to during the painting process. Nature sounds have a calming effect on the mind and body, which helps to reduce stress and anxiety levels. Listening to nature sounds can also help to block out distracting noises and create a peaceful environment for relaxation and meditation.

BONUS Guided Meditations for Sleep + Deep Rest
These are for my friends who struggle with sleep. I have found guided meditations to be a big help when the mind needs help with rest. If you’d like more of these, you can find my complete library of guided meditations here.

In a world that glorifies hustle and distraction, Breathe People is a quiet rebellion—a reminder that slowing down is not weakness, it’s power.

This isn’t just another art project. It’s an invitation to unplug, pick up your hands, and create something that can’t be scrolled past. Here, connection matters—connection to yourself, to the people you love, and to the moments that actually last.

Amid the whirlwind of technology, Breathe People sees the craving for authenticity and a return to the tangible.

Our art kits are a sanctuary for unplugged creativity—made for the casual artisan, the unpolished, the ones who just want to make with their hands. This is your space to slow down, create something real, and find connection beyond the digital noise.

About Rebecca

In a world that tells us to push through and stay strong, creativity whispers the truth: slowing down to feel is what makes us whole.

Through life’s hardest seasons, creativity has been my steady companion. When words fall short, art gives me a language of healing, helping me release, find hope, and keep moving forward. It’s also been a cure for loneliness, guiding me back to myself and helping me reconnect with others. More than expression, it’s been a lifeline.

Art is Medicine

My work sits where creativity and healing meet, whether that’s moving through grief, finding clarity, or unlocking new parts of yourselves.

Just as important, I love creating spaces for connection and belonging, where creativity brings people closer to each other as much as it brings them back to themselves.

For the Casual Artist

I created these kits for the casual artist—for anyone craving a way to reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the moments that actually matter.

I’ve learned how different creative practices speak to different emotions—clay grounds, watercolor releases, painting reflects. That understanding guides every kit I design: approachable, unpolished, simple and real—made to give you space to breathe, play, and connect.

Come create, connect, and breathe with me—this is the unplugged rebellion.
